Great experience. Very helpful and friendly staff. The food was delicious but the portions were small. Nice atmosphere and really enjoyed the evening. Could only get a table for 6pm on a Friday as called very late. Service was friendly and food was great. Personal rant. The restaurant was very good though so book it early! We went here on a special occasion and it seemed to have good reviews.
It was, a truly excellent dining experience from the beginning. Excelent food the tapas we choose for starters were delicious the mains of duck and ravoili very tasty, and the desserts of brulee and brownie just finished the meal off perfectly. One of best meals i have had in a few years. Would definitely recommend the Barking Dog. Venue is very pleasant and a lovely ambience. Would highly rate and was reasonably priced for the standard and quslity of food.
Fantastic meal. Attentive but relaxed service. Room a little chilly! Staff very pleasant. Great evening with great friends in lovely surroundings. I have had afternoon tea in a number of hotels, with the Fitzwilliam holding a 5 star rating I expected something special but unfortunately pretty average. The staff were excellent. Very impressed with my first visit the restaurant. The service was excellent from the moment we walked through the door and the food was lovely. A nice change from usual lunch time menus.
Will definitely be back. Thank you. Fantastic restaurant, absolutely top notch service, food and drinks. They seemed to be constantly smiling and made you feel welcome. The food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced considering the location and actually how good it tasted. Will definitely return. This was our last night in Belfast and it was memorable thanks to the excellent service and food at Hadskis. Would highly recommend going. What a great restaurant in the heart of Belfast.
The food was exceptional, the staff attentive and knowledgeable. Nothing was a problem. If possible book a Bar seat and experience the theatre of the kitchen and quiz the chefs on the dishes. Reasonably priced menu and wine list. We will be back! Nice authentic Cantonese style food with a warm welcome. Not pretentious and snobby like some and a complete mix of customers.
The food was amazing and the portions really generous in true NI style. Brooklyn Sq cater really well for gluten free and vegan diets in a fuss free way which was fantastic. The drinks and cocktails were superb and the staff were so relaxed and friendly. A nice laid back atmosphere and my work colleagues were still talking about the great food two days later! Incredible authentic Neaples-style pizza, talented italian Pizzaiolo.
Lovely and friendly owner Reggie, and BYO. Great night. Newly renovated Food great. Irish coffee very expensive but do doubt top notch restaurant. Beautiful food and lovely service from staff, definitely recommend. It is definitely designed in a way to give you a feeling of home away from home Good food and the service was excellent.
The chicken wings were very nice. Good food at reasonable prices. Steaks were cooked to order and food arrived hot. Really lovely meal and very enjoyable evening with a few friends. Service, food and ambience were perfect. Will definitely book again. Service was excellent. The food was ok, just too spicy for me. I had the curry and my husband had flatbread, both too spicy.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend, maybe a little loud though however we were right in front of the musician. Good live music! Great service and delicious food, a bit of a cold breeze coming in when door opened but apart from that all good! Had a meal for my wife's birthday.
Staff came over with champagne on the house. Attended to our table as if we had private dining The meal and setting was perfect. The portions were enough and time between each course was ideal. Great value for guests living at the hotel. We went for the Bottomless Brunch. The food was just mediocre - all of our toasted sourdough had black burnt edges and the portion of smoked salmon literally covered half the slice of bread.
The atmosphere however was lovely and the staff were outstanding. The food wouldn't put me off. Date with me bird. Live acoustic singer who was really good, food was unreal! Loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. I would return in future, in the hope of a nicer meal to make the whole experience better.

A great and quirky spot, not fine dining but the entertainment makes up for everything! We found our meal very nice, value for money, waitress very attentive. Food was really nice, thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Fab place and fab food! Winner "Best Gastro Pub Co. Service ok. A bit slow at the end of the night. Love the food and the sevice. Cannot fault anything. Always our go to place for Sunday Lunch. Great place for casual food which hits the spot and great value. Leah was our waitress and she really made it for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks in the Jailhouse. The service is top class- we were served by a girl with long blonde hair, she was absolutely fantastic. The meal was outstanding. The only thing I would say is that the noise level was very high, although that is no fault of the staff. Well done to the staff of the jailhouse.

9 Family Restaurants in Belfast You Need to try | Clayton Hotel Belfast
I'm going to Belfast for a night with family, including parents who are in mid 60's. Can anyone recommend any good pubs for that age group? I've been to Belfast only once before with friends and found some great pubs but they where all around 20's to mid 30's age group. We will be staying in Benedicts. Probably some of the hotel bars would be better options as quite a few of the bars are geared towards a younger crowd but here are a few suggestions:.
This is National Trust owned and a tourist attraction in its own right. Definitely worth a visit. Europa Hotel Piano Bar www. Right in the heart of Belfast behind the City Hall. Fantastic building. Friday night is jazz night between 6. Depends what day of the week. I think Fri and Sat they may have a dj though. It is a bar though, not a pub. Give them a call: www.
I would add another to Adequate's list which is the John Hewitt. Different music on different nights. I imagine that during the week it would be all ages. It is open all day and does food so would be nice for early evening drinks or afternoon cocktails. It is also very central so good for calling into if you're shopping.
Thanks very much everyone for the replies. We will be there on a Friday night so possibly the hotel bars would be best. Pubs in Belfast on a Friday night are always going to be busy! Or The Merchant Hotel , as already mentioned, has gorgeous cocktail bar but pricy!
