Gravel road was in great condition, saw a few smaller cars on it. This is a very pretty drive. Great if you just want out for a while. Really fun!! Has a little bit of everything, easy trails to mud holes to technical crawler trails. Good trail, somewhat moderate. A few steep inclines. Not well marked in a variety of places. Great flowers. Nice hike, we waked it in under an hour, trailhead said it would take 2. My dog and I have done this trail multiple times and we always enjoy it. The trailhead is super easy to find and you have the option to do just part of the trail via a connector.

I've always done the whole thing though and it takes just a little over an hour. You can hear gunshots, ATVs, and the highway from pretty much every spot on this trail though.

Overall, a decent trail. Challenging and fun place to ride motorcycles. Stayed in some nice cabins nearby and spent 3 days on the trails.

I went early spring and there was very little traffic on the trails. This was a very pretty little trail. Not very hard, but lots of elevation changes probably really nice for biking. Easy enough for an 8yo to keep pace. There were so many different kinds of mushrooms to look at!

At some places the path was muddy or went under the stream, but it had just rained the day before. At all times you can hear ATVs. One of the only local places in relation to St. I need to talk to AllTrails about some serious updates here. First, there are multiple trails, about 80 miles of them, in this 12 to 13 square mile area. As for dirt biking, this is definitely a 5 star place to ride trails from easy as pie to hell and back.

All skill levels can have fun here. There is a lot of level trails, rocks to bounce over, hills to climb, streams to splash through, and even bridges to cross. There's also a 5 acre trials bike area with no limiting trails within it - ride wherever you like. Hikers could conceivably use the area, but I've never seen any on the trails. If you hike this, you'll have to ford creeks in the wet season , climb some pretty steep stuff, deal with lose gravel, and above all, get off the trail if you hear any riders coming your way!

Some people ride fast without much time to react. In my opinion, hike elsewhere and have run riding here! Nice place to ride, can get technical quick Went on a Monday - did not see another person the whole day - the quietness was fantastic.

New road surface makes traveling this scenic drive a little easier on the unpaved section. Plenty of side trails to walk or 4wheel. And when you get to highway turn toward Eagle Rock and check out the New Mexican restaurant across the bridge and close to Dollar General.

Not a drive for low to the ground vehicles or cars with "city tires" this is a rough riding road and no facilities. A few really nice openings to view the Ozark mountains. One with old picnic tables and a place to pull off and rest from bouncing down the road. It's s fun drive always something to see and leaves are starting to change colors.

Would be 5 stars no doubt if the park rangers weren't as overbearing as they were. The park is absolutely beautiful and has trails for days. Hiking can get difficult at times but in my opinion well worth it to see some beautiful sights. Pleasant drive through Ozark hill country. Many recreational opportunities along the way. Roaring River State park is a premier trout fishing park.

I would say that the park is great if you want to ATV, kayak, mountain bike, or shoot. But for hiking, it's all right but not special. It's not difficult, it's a short loop through pretty woods, but as others have said you hear the cars and ATVs the entire time. The park has a really cool lake to Kayak or Canoe complete with a water trail which I enjoyed. I also completed the "mountain bike" trail which is quite short and in portions quite flat and should not be rated as difficult.

There was a very nice but small waterfall. If I return, it would only be to kayak the lake again. Has an ass kicking hill that makes you feel accomplished when you top it! A lot of fun on a bike. Great trails close to St.

Really good for beginners too. Challenging and great pump track to dink around on. Nice trail and well marked. The loop took me an hour and 10 min. Good hike through the woods, my only complaint would be that I heard car noises from the high way.

I prefer quiet when hiking, but overall very nice trail! Reviews Photos Recordings Sort By. Scott M. Joe State Park Perimeter Trail. Shawn B. James Elsesser on St. Friday, September 14, Saturday, March 31, Tom Sims on St. Sunday, October 30, Tuesday, September 13, Bryce AuBuchon on St.
